SH+ Helmet Packaging Redesign

SH+ Helmet Redesign Packaging

In this project brief we need to find a packaging and change it into a sustainable packaging.

So I picked SH+ helmet because I find that there are a lot of potentials to reduce the use of cardboard
when it comes to the helmet packaging.
Choosing an art style for the SH+ Company is crucial. Sh+ Company is a company that always showed
the innovation, passion, stylish and modern in their product and slogan.

Finding the right art direction is the key for the company to show their identity directly through the packaging.
I’m choosing Paula Scher’s poster series as the inspiration for my art direction but with a little twist. I’m taking away the rotation type in the design, that is because the rotating type is giving a rebel feeling for the audience, and that is against the identity of SH+.

Therefore, I’m taking away that and standardized my type into land space and portrait. Besides, instead of using a lot of typefaces in the design, I’m only using one typeface with a lot of families and add in some line to make the design more organized which fulfil the brand identity of the SH+ comapny. I’m also using SH+ slogan
and identity keyword to form the design, with the arrangement the larger the text, the more important it is.

For the photo part, I’m using the overprint effect on the photo in this project. Since I’m already standardized
my type into land space and portrait, for the photo I want it to be the cherry on top of the design giving some interesting focal point for the design. With this art direction on the packaging no only enhance the looking of the packaging but also bring out the identity of SH+ company to the customer. The customer can look and feel the company directly through the packaging.
The goal of this redesign packaging project

To make the packaging
More sustainable, Easy to hold, Have a lock feature (more easy for reuse purpose).

THANK YOU!
